September 2026: property assessment by address, and a site that updates itself

What Payotte built this month, in numbers and dates, and what it changes for the professionals it recommends.

Published · Grégory Payotte

In short

In September 2026, Copilot cited Payotte 5,358 times by the 28th, more than double August. Payotte launched its [[Property assessment section across all 10 provinces|/en/property-assessment]], and the "My address" tool, which shows the assessed value, comparable sales, welcome tax and risks by year of construction for a given address. Since September 23, an autopilot renews the site's numbers on its own: each city's market, rents, housing starts, property taxes. The site now lists 747 experts in 76 cities, and 83 profiles are confirmed by their professional.

This month's headlines

1Property assessment: find out if you pay too much, address by address

On September 28, Payotte opened its Property assessment section across all 10 provinces: assessment roll calendar by municipality, guides, appeal deadlines. On the 29th, the "My address" tool answers for a specific address: assessed value, comparable sales, welcome tax, risks by year of construction. On the 30th, the verdict fits in one sentence, with the possible savings. The MCP server follows: it grows from 8 to 14 tools.

For you: An owner who finds out they may be paying too much needs a professional. Depending on the verdict, the tool sends them to an appraiser or a broker, chosen among those Payotte recommends.

2Copilot: 5,358 citations in September

Copilot cited Payotte more than 5,000 times in September, by the 28th, up from 2,451 in August. Bing impressions grew from 1,341 to 3,214. The Google reviews of the 478 relevant profiles were re-read on September 8, and 465 profiles were linked directly to their Google listing on the 23rd.

For you: Your Google reviews count for 35 points out of 100. Your Payotte profile now links straight to your Google listing, where clients read them.

3A site that updates itself

Since September 23, an autopilot keeps the numbers current: each city's market is read every night, Statistics Canada and APCIQ data three times a month, CMHC rents and property taxes as soon as they are published. The site deploys itself every morning at 7:15, and the Barometer is composed every month.

For you: Your sector page shows this month's numbers, not last year's. That is what makes an AI judge it fresh enough to cite.
