In short

In June 2026, Payotte grew from 130 to 566 verified experts, from 3 to 41 cities and from 2 to 8 provinces. The site opened up to AI engines on June 3, and Copilot, Microsoft's AI, cited it for the first time: 15 citations from mid-June. The month also saw the Badge program, the "Recommended" status (47 profiles confirmed by their professional), the first data study and the Payotte Index.

This month's headlines

1From 3 to 41 cities in one month

Payotte started June with 130 experts in 3 cities. It ended it with 566 experts in 41 cities and 8 provinces: Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Halifax, Laval, Gatineau, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Alberta, British Columbia. Every profile is checked against its public sources, and 26 profiles that could not be were removed.

For you: The more cities Payotte covers, the more it shows up in your future clients' searches. And in each sector, there is one spot per profession.

2AI engines read Payotte, and cite it

On June 3, Payotte opened up to AI engines: crawlers allowed, an llms.txt file, structured data on every profile, update dates. On June 24, IndexNow started notifying Bing as soon as a page changes. The result: from June 12, Copilot cites Payotte in its answers, 15 times before month-end.

For you: When a client asks an AI "which inspector should I pick in Laval?", it looks for a verifiable source. Your Payotte profile is written to be that source.

3A badge, and a "Recommended" status

On June 8, Payotte launched its Badge program: a selected professional can show on their website that Payotte recommends them, with a reciprocal link to their profile from June 16. On June 28, two distinct statuses: "Verified" by Payotte against public sources, and "Recommended" when the professional has also confirmed their details. 47 profiles were confirmed this way in June.

For you: Confirming your details by email takes five minutes, and your profile moves to "Recommended". The badge on your website shows it to your visitors, and to AI engines.
