July 2026: all 10 provinces, and an MCP server for AI assistants

What Payotte built this month, in numbers and dates, and what it changes for the professionals it recommends.

Published · Grégory Payotte

In short

In July 2026, Payotte grew from 566 to 717 experts and from 41 to 70 cities, and it now covers all 10 provinces. On July 23 it launched its MCP server: an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT can use it to find a verified expert, check a title or compute a land transfer tax, without going through a web search. The month also saw the first Payotte Barometer, the property-tax report covering 51 cities and ten answer-first reports. Copilot cited Payotte 84 times, up from 15 in June.

This month's headlines

1All 10 provinces and 70 cities

Payotte ended July with 717 experts in 70 cities. Newfoundland and Labrador joined on July 17, Prince Edward Island on July 26: all 10 provinces are covered. In Quebec: eight single-sector cities, the North and South Shores, then Brossard, Repentigny and Granby.

For you: A client looking for a professional in your city now finds Payotte almost everywhere in the country. If your sector has a vacant spot, it is open.

2The MCP server: AI assistants query Payotte directly

On July 23, Payotte launched its MCP server, listed in the official registry. An AI assistant can use it to find an expert, check a professional title, read a city's numbers and relay a contact request. By July 28 it had 8 tools, including live Bank of Canada rates, land transfer tax, rent or buy and income needed.

For you: When an assistant looks for an inspector in Laval through this server, it reads your verified profile, not a random web page. The contact requests it relays reach you.

3The first Barometer, and Copilot citing Payotte 84 times

July 12 saw the first edition of the Payotte Barometer, as open data. Then came ten answer-first reports (income needed by city, commission, forecasts, rents, land transfer tax…), a 43-term glossary and the property-tax report covering 51 cities. Copilot went from 15 citations in June to 84 in July.

For you: AI engines cite the sources that answer clearly. The more Payotte is cited, the more the profiles it recommends are seen, and yours is one of them.

What it means for you

AI assistants no longer just crawl the web: they plug into structured data sources. In July, Payotte became one of those sources for Canadian real estate: when an assistant looks for an inspector in Laval through the MCP server, it reads your verified profile.

Your profile is free and your rank is not for sale. Add what only you can give, such as the year you started or your licence number: that is what the AI repeats when it justifies a recommendation.

Is your spot still open?

As of today, 58 of the 750 sector × profession spots still have no expert. One spot per profession and per sector: once it is taken, it is taken.

  • Confirm your details: your profile moves to "Recommended" status.
  • Put the badge on your website: your Payotte profile then links back to your site.
  • Payotte is read by AI assistants: through its MCP server, and in Copilot's answers.
