Privacy Policy
In short
Using Payotte requires no sign-up and no identification.
No ad trackers, no conversion pixels, no third-party marketing cookies.
Payotte processes personal information only in the four cases described below, and never sells, rents or shares it for commercial purposes.
1. Browsing
Our hosts receive the technical data of any visit (IP address, browser, page, time). It is used for aggregate statistics and security, and is never combined with other data.
2. Market newsletter
If you subscribe on a city page, we keep your email, the city and the date of your consent until you unsubscribe. Every message carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
3. Real-estate professionals
We collect the business contact details that brokers, inspectors, notaries and other professionals publish themselves (firm websites, public registries) to send them the market bulletin for their area. Every message includes an unsubscribe link; an unsubscribed or bouncing address is never mailed again.
4. Contact requests (website and AI assistants)
When you ask to reach a professional — on the website or through an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT — we receive your name, email, phone number if given, and message. They are kept for at most 48 hours while you confirm through the link sent to your address; the request is then forwarded to the professional, who replies to you directly, and we keep no copy of its content. We keep only a consent record (date, professional, and a non-reversible hash of your email) for 400 days.
AI assistants
Payotte’s lookup tools (experts, statistics, rates, calculators) receive only the parameters of the question (city, profession, price…), never your identity.
Processors
Cloudflare (assistant server and storage), Resend (email delivery, United States), GoDaddy (website hosting). Your information may therefore be processed outside Quebec and Canada.

Expert profiles link to third-party sites (firms, personal websites). Payotte is not responsible for their privacy practices.
