Real estate agents in Alaska: what buyers ask
Who pays the real estate agent in Alaska?
Commissions are negotiable and not set by law. Since August 17, 2024, offers of compensation are banned from the MLS and buyers sign a written agreement first.
What must a seller disclose in Alaska?
An Alaska seller must deliver a completed written disclosure statement (form 08-4229) before the buyer makes a written offer (AS 34.70.010). If it arrives after the offer, the buyer may withdraw within 3 days, or 6 days if mailed.
