In Alaska, home inspectors must register with the state (Alaska Dept. of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development (Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing)); it is a registration, not a full license. You can check a name yourself on Professional License Search.
Home inspectors in Alaska: what buyers ask
How much does a home inspection cost?
No federal agency sets or publishes a home inspection price. HUD says FHA performs none, and EPA says fix radon at 4 pCi/L or more.
What must a seller disclose in Alaska?
An Alaska seller must deliver a completed written disclosure statement (form 08-4229) before the buyer makes a written offer (AS 34.70.010). If it arrives after the offer, the buyer may withdraw within 3 days, or 6 days if mailed.
