Andalusia
Andalusia makes registration compulsory by law (Ley 5/2025, art. 50.3), but the register had no implementing decree on 15 October 2026, and the law gives up to two years from 24 January 2026 to set it up.
Aragon
No agent register was established for Aragon in the sources read on 15 October 2026; estate agency is free at national level under Ley 10/2003.
Asturias
No agent register was established for Asturias in the sources read on 15 October 2026; estate agency is free at national level under Ley 10/2003.
Balearic Islands
The Balearic Islands have an official register of real estate agents that is voluntary under Ley 3/2024, although a registered agent must show the registration number in advertising.
Basque Country
The Basque housing law (Ley 3/2015) provides for a register of real estate agents, but no creating decree was found, so its status is not established.
Canary Islands
The Canary Islands keep a register of real estate agents that is voluntary under Decreto 11/2022, article 4.2; it is public and free.
Cantabria

Castile and León

Castilla-La Mancha

Catalonia
Catalonia has a compulsory register of real estate agents (Registre d'agents immobiliaris de Catalunya) under Ley 18/2007; the Generalitat page says it is public, administrative and compulsory.

Community of Madrid
The Community of Madrid keeps a register of real estate agents that is voluntary, according to the regional government page.
Extremadura

No agent register was established for Galicia in the sources read on 15 October 2026; only a register of building agents (Registro de Agentes de la Edificación) appears in Ley 8/2012.

Melilla

The Valencian Community has a compulsory register of real estate intermediation agents (RAI) under Decreto 98/2022, article 4.1, although a regional high court judgment of 17 January 2025 partly annulled the decree.
