Data protection law (European Union and Spain)

Payotte is operated from Canada. This section is written for readers in Spain. The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") applies to a controller established outside the Union when its processing relates to offering services to people in the Union (Article 3(2)); Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD) completes it, in particular its Article 11 on the information given to the person concerned. Payotte applies the rights listed below to readers in Spain. Whether and how these texts apply to Payotte in each situation is a legal question that this page does not settle.

Where data is processed

Payotte is operated from Canada. GoDaddy and Cloudflare process data in the United States.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, you may ask for access to your data, its correction, its erasure, the restriction of processing, and object to processing based on Payotte's legitimate interests, by writing to gregory@payotte.com. We reply within one month at most. If you are not satisfied, you can first write to us again, and then lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD), the supervisory authority of the Member State where you live, through its online complaint form (aepd.es).
