The rates, tax by tax
Real property conveyance fee
$3 per $1,000 of sale price ($1 state + $2 county); reduced to $1 per $1,000 if the grantor receives the homestead exemption; $3 minimum; plus $0.50 transfer tax. This rate includes the Ohio state share: it replaces the state rate instead of adding to it.
Exemptions: If the grantor of a property receives the homestead property tax exemption at the time of property transfer, then the conveyance fee is reduced to a total of $1 per every $1,000
