Real estate agents in Indiana: what buyers ask
Who pays the real estate agent in Indiana?
Commissions are negotiable and not set by law. Since August 17, 2024, offers of compensation are banned from the MLS and buyers sign a written agreement first.
What must a seller disclose in Indiana?
An Indiana owner of a one-to-four-unit home must complete and sign the state disclosure form and give it to the buyer before an offer is accepted (IC 32-21-5-10). If a defect is disclosed only after acceptance, the buyer has two business days to cancel in writing.
