Data as of 28 September 2026

Bengaluru comes second in the NHB RESIDEX group, listed as 2 of 9 cities. Only Faridabad +24.4% stands higher, while Kalyan-Dombivli -1.7% stands lowest. The index rests on valuations that banks and housing finance companies carry out when they assess a home loan. The period is April-June 2026.

Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority is the RERA body for the state. Deeds are registered through igr.karnataka.gov.in. The local government is Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. Bengaluru also appears in the RBI House Price Index, with the city figure available only in the RBI DBIE database.

Karnataka's tally under PMAY-Urban reached 5,07,965 sanctioned houses by 28 September 2026. Of those, 4,06,893 are completed, a share of 80%. Occupancy is recorded for 3,61,290, with 81,962 in progress.

No Karnataka stamp duty figure appears here: Payotte found no official rate table it could read. A reader who needs that cost should consult the registration department directly. The page also leaves out any advice on timing or on which areas to choose, since the sources do not support it. New housing loans carried an average rate of 7.61% in August 2026, a figure that applies to the country, not only to Bengaluru. The page says nothing about future valuations.
